The goal of the Ozarks Literacy Council is to increase literacy in Southwest Missouri by providing free tutoring and learning services to those unable to read, write or compute at levels necessary to function fully and contribute successfully on the job, in their communities and in society as a whole.

Summer 2004 Trivia Challenge

The third annual Trivia Night is shaping up to be more challenging than last year's event!  Get your team together now and start sharpening your minds! 

Come in costume for fun! Doors open: 5:30 p.m.; Event begins: 6:30 p.m. Tickets $25. per person. Tables of eight will compete and win prizes...even a prize for last place!

Pizza Bowl V - 2004

On the Tuesday before Super Bowl Sunday, the best pizza vendors in Springfield and Nixa will help support literacy in the Ozarks by facing off to decide who will be the next Super Bowl Champion...of Pizza! Enjoy some pizza. Hang out with your friends and cast your vote for the Best Pizza in Town.

Words and Pictures Art Exhibit

September 8th, 2002, OLC began  another community event -- an annual art show focused on the theme of reading. The inaugural event featured the photography of Randy Bacon on display at the home of Rob and Sally Baird. Following the Gala Opening at the Bairds', these wonderful Images of Reading will go on display  at various galleries and sites around town.
